About the Bonhams:
My name is Nikki Bonham and I'm married to a sweet, godly man named Nate (although he prefers everyone to call him Nathan...I just can't do that!) If you want to know what Life with the Bonhams looks like, read on!
The quick version:
Since our header claims "because if you lived with Stupidcat, you'd be crazy too..." you might be asking, "Why is life with Stupidcat so difficult?"
Well, because she's insane. (Clinically, I'm certain.) She's half domestic, half Asian Spotted Leopard, and that makes for a very interesting housecat. She runs the place, providing us with entertainment, laughter, and frustrations galore.
When we're not dealing with her antics (like climbing the curtains, dumping water on my head, chasing our 3 dogs, or stealing pens out of my purse), we are both full-time seminary students who work multiple part-time jobs while trying to balance marriage, family, friends, and a passion for sharing the Gospel.
We're a little busy...

The Long Version:
I grew up here in Mississippi, and Nate grew up in Tennessee. We started dating when we were 17, even though we were long-distance (he drove 7 hours to see me EVERY weekend- thats love!). We got married when we were 20 years old on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, TN. After we finished college at Middle Tennessee State, we moved here in August of 2005 so that Nate could start a residential home building company, BonhamBuilt Homes, LLC. I like being back home where I grew up, and we both love being near family. We don't know if we'll stay here in Mississippi forever, but we're definitely going to enjoy it while we're here!

Although Nate came back to build houses, he's not doing it anymore... We both felt called to start seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary so that's what we're doing now. I am will hopefully have a Masters in Christian Education when I'm done, and Nate is working on his Masters of Divinity . We are hoping to use our education to God's glory on the foreign mission field, and we're currently in the process of getting there.
In addition to being full-time students, we both work as well. I work part-time for my dad as an office manager, and I'm also the Children's Ministry Director at Madison Heights Church. Nate still works a little in the construction industry, as well as for the church.
When we're not busy (which, as you can tell, doesn't happen often!), we like to relax at the beach, travel around seeing old friends, watch lots of movies, watch "The Office" and "24", and play with our so-called 'kids'... that is, until we have real ones! Nate also likes just about any type of extreme sport, camping, fishing, kayaking, climbing, and being involved in service projects of all kinds. I like to read anything I can get my hands on, blog, sleep late, and spend time with my fun family and in-laws.
We're pretty low-key, and most evenings you can find us snuggled together on the couch with a movie, a computer, or a couple of good books.

Oh yeah, and in case you were wondering what the kids look like...
This is Stupidcat, Treasure, Leia, and Annabeth:

That's it so far...check back in a year or two and we might have some 2-legged babies to add to the list!
