THIS much...
Sometimes all I need is an evening with Bert and Shirley.
And then sometimes, I get an evening with Bert and Shirley followed by TWO FULL DAYS hanging out with them, which is what I get this weekend.
Tonight we went to hang out. Tomorrow we set up for the garage sale (and we have oh-so-much setting up to do!), then Saturday we have the garage sale.
Just what I need. I love them THIS much!
One of the reasons I love him...
A conversation 2 nights ago...
Nate: Don't steal my covers tonight.
Me: I didnt!
Nate: I know you didnt...tonight hasn't happened yet.
Me: I mean I havent stolen them so far. Look, you have plenty of covers.
Nate: Yeah, well you always steal them. You Hamburglar.
Me: Well, maybe if I were stealing your BIG MAC you could call me that...
Nate: If I had one, you probably WOULD steal it, Hamburglar.
Me: I am NOT the Hamburglar.
Nate: Yeah you are... my little Hamburglar.
Then, yesterday...
Me: (I told him about how I had exited a building via the window... long story)
Nate: See? I told you you're the Hamburglar. Sneakin' out windows. My little Hamburglar.
Me: This is so weird.
Oh, life with the Bonhams... aren't you glad you're in on it?

The light at the end of the tunnel...
The garage sale is only a few days away, and surprisingly, I think I'm almost ready for it. I've been busy cleaning out our closets, garage, drawers, cabinets, and anything else I can find to clean out. I'm also helping to clean out the attics at Mom and Dad's house.
6 attics in their house + 25 years of accumulation = one big job.
They hired a guy from their church, Drew, to help out, so we've been steadily working through mountains of junk in order to find out what to keep, sell, and burn. He's been bringing everything downstairs for me, and I've been sorting, then loading sellable stuff into the truck to bring back to my house. Then I bring it all home and unload it into my garage.
Then I get back to work cleaning out my own house for several more hours before I call it a day.
3 days of this now, and my body HURTS.
But its okay, because my house is going to be CLUTTER-FREE when it's all over and done with. And that sounds good to me.
Notice anything different?
okay, so I might have made a couple of changes on the ol' blog. Just a few. To everything.
Sorry.
But I'm on this whole simplifying kick, you know, and I decided that the blog needed a makeover. Especially since Nate always says "I cant even tell whats on there! There's too much junk."
Goodbye, junk.
Here's what's different:
- Obviously, a new header and title. "Life with the Bonhams..." because that's what you're reading about.
- I compiled both blogs into one (this means any old CC links wont work).
- I got rid of LOTS of the resources. The ones I kept are under "Lists," because that's what they are.
- I got rid of all the various "about" options, and now only have one page, "About the Bonhams"
- I deleted any other nonsense that didnt really serve a purpose on here.
Simple is better, right? I hope so, because I deleted all of that stuff and now its out in cyberspace heaven with no hopes of getting it back. So don't tell me if you liked the old way better... I can't change it back now, and I did this on a whim... plus if you make me regret it, i might get stressed out and go blind, which will be all YOUR fault.
Not really. But still.
Anyways. Hope you like the changes. I think I do.
The natural progression of things...
- Michelle moved to Ohio today. I cried. Alot.
- Lacey spoke tonight at a Ladies' event at Highlands. It was all about Satu and the work that God did in both of their lives through her time here. I was already weepy from crying this afternoon, so no surprise that I cried again.
- Now my eyes are puffy and red and weigh about 15 lbs each. As if they didnt bother me enough arleady.
Thanks, Michelle.
